Camp Casey, Crawford Texas

My View From The Ground!

Day 1 Aug 20, 2005

At least this sign was put up by the jerkwater berg in question.

With so many (around 2,000) people in camp and the action spread over 3 locations some miles apart, these PEACE SHUTTLES were in constant motion.  Again, all volunteers doing the work.

By the second day of out trip, the recently occupied "Camp Freeper 2" was already abandoned.  Nice commitment folks!  That is why your days in control of this country are numbered.

The occupants of Camp Freeper left nothing but a few signs.  This spray paint on shower curtain being my favorite.

I didn't know the "get-a-long" was even a word.

Distressed Sister and our car parked in front of the spot of Larry Mattlage's

Sunday 10 AM, drunk, gun-toting "Texas Press Conference".  A shout out to ALL of the "Angry Larry's" of the world.

Camp Casey 1

Jeff Key, who played "Taps" At The Camp 2 Memorial Services each night we were there.

The Big Map.  Folks from all over the country are signing in.

A detail shot as a shout out to my friends at www.bartcop.com.  Their sticker had beaten me there!

A series of shots from the Camp 1 memorial...

A couple shots to note the meager size of Camp Freeper 1, located right across the "triangle" from Camp Casey 1.

A word I never would have thought to use as a descriptor for our War Criminal In Chief.

Quite a look.

Several very moving messages from the memorial as Camp Casey 2.

A great poster we placed for our Buddy DXStone of:

Distressed Sis at the Democratic Underground Tent that I ended up buying when I got there.

Soon to be replaced with something better...

Big thanks to all of the volunteers at the Peace house that are making this happen.  It is am amazing thing that is taking place in this little red town!
