Washington - In a surprise announcement today, the Pentagon indicated that a small commando team have located and detained former regime mastermind KKKarl Rove. Spokesmen were quoted as saying, "Ladies and Gentlemen, We Got HIM!" as reporters broke out into cheers of "To The Hague! To The Hague!"

"This is truly a wonderful day for democracy. The things these men have done are beyond despicable. I sure as hell hope they get what is coming to them." said one coffee house patron in the West Village.

The new administration had promised that now that he is in custody, Mr. Rove's justice will come swiftly.

Wanted for corruption, war crimes, and divulging government secrets for political gain, Rove has been in hiding for some 68 days since the fall of the Bush junta. Found living in a small 10 X 6 X 4 foot hole, he was living exclusively on pretzels and water.

Also found in the "spider hole" was a large metal box containing millions of dollars in alleged oil industry kickbacks.

Interestingly, the bunker was connected by a long straw to a 150 gallon reserve tank of raw Saudi crude located directly below the hole. While experts dismiss the notion the Rove may have been drawing life giving energy from the oil, others content it was merely a suicide option much like the traditional Cyanide pill of old.

The Pentagon remains silent regarding the current location of the detainee, unnamed sources say that he is being held on one of the regimes own floating gulags somewhere in international waters.
